Today was day 2 of my CUA program which was a continuation of yesterday’s class: UX Foundations.

While yesterday we learned the visual aspect, today we learned about Intellect, Memory, and Motor aspects of UX foundations.

Today was actually overwhelming in terms of concepts, models etc. There are too many of them and I felt like one day is just not enough to grab all of them!

In intellect part, we were taught about various reflexes, attention spans, reaction times, noise, signal detection etc. The concepts were so clearly explained with various examples that they are east to remember.

We even learned about stress and why it is useful sometimes. Memory section taught us the various memories in a human brain, and which one to rely on? What to do with the interruptions. The various models: Primacy and Recency effects, Zeigarnik Effect etc.

There were some practical exercises involved like drawing the schema of your organization and then creating a website out of that.

There are many other things, models, theories that we learned which will surely be helpful in the practical world!

There was even some statistics involved in Motor's part of the session — which really proved to be heavy at the end of the session but loved the way the instructor explained the same.

I am really loving the course until now! See you next week for Day 3 class.
